6/1/2020 – Super nice day! Hot Wednesday – Storms possible Wednesday – Saturday

Welcome to the first day of Meteorological Summer! It is also the first day of Hurricane Season, and let's hope that there are not any big storms. Unfortunately, I am seeing something possible in the Gulf in the next day or two.

Here, the weather is BEAUTIFUL today. We will have very summerlike weather starting Wednesday. There is a possibility of some severe weather Wednesday. The Storm Prediction Center has us in the Marginal set up now (see the second image) – I have some concerns but will wait for more data before sharing what I am concerned about. The rest of the week is very summerlike. I am hoping we can get another nice weekend.

May 18, 2020 Loudoun Weather Outlook

image.png
5/18/2020 – Cool and damp week ahead, but solid rain chances have slipped to later in the week. A daily chance of some showers, but not a washout! The main rain chances shifted south of the region. An increase in rain chances starts Thursday and goes into Saturday. Hoping we can get this system out of here to salvage part of the long weekend, but this upper- level system is pesky and takes its time moving!

1/24/2020

1/24/2020 – Late! Some showers are possible with highs up in the upper 40s. HEAVY rain tonight! Thinking 1 to 2 inches is likely. Localized flooding possible. Get out and check drains now before the rain moves in. Showers will lessen before sunrise and then some showers tomorrow possible. Watching the long-range for a possible winter weather event 2/1 – We will see!

1/21/2020 Weather Outlook

image.png
1/21/2020 – Cold but less breezy today. Slight warming tomorrow through Friday. MAYBE some wintry weather Friday Night, but not looking like much. This winter is quickly turning to a major Dud! 4 years ago, we were on the brink of a very historic Blizzard! NOT THIS WEEK though! Sorry snow lovers, the forecast is a downer!

12/17/2019 – Weather Outlook

image.png

12/17/2019 – Wet today and then cold and dry the rest of the week. Starting to get milder Saturday and beyond. Next week looks like normal temperatures to slightly above normal (the upper 40s to mid-50s). As of now, not seeing wintry weather any time really soon.

Consider giving (I posted my ideas for giving below the forecast!) as the year ends.. not saying you have to give to those causes, but just give!

12/16/2019 Mix then turning colder later this week

image.png
12/16/2019 – Mixy Mess turning to rain this morning! Rain tomorrow mainly before noon. Really COLD Wednesday and Thursday and then somewhat milder weekend. I am not seeing any real winter weather threats now on the horizon. That can change, but I think we have to wait until after Christmas for the pattern to become a bit more favorable for wintry weather and the temps to cool down again. Remember that long-range forecasting is speculation. In general, I am expecting Christmas Week to be pretty seasonal.

12/9/2019 – Weather Outlook

12/09/2019 – Monday Weather Outlook – Rainy today! Mild today, and very mild tomorrow. Rain will likely mix with and maybe change to some snow Wednesday Morning. Really cold on Thursday! Looking rainy Saturday which would be a huge bummer for the Christmas Parades!! Let's hope that it speeds up, or is not that big, but I am concerned!
