☀️ Last Day of Meteorological Spring!

Today wraps up meteorological spring, and what a way to go out. Highs climb into the mid 70s with low humidity and plenty of sunshine. If you're spending time outside, don't forget the sunscreen. It's the kind of day that can sneak up on you!

🌤️ Monday and Tuesday: Still Nice

Both days feature highs in the mid to upper 70s with a few more clouds around. Comfortable conditions continue into the first couple days of meteorological summer.

🌡️ Heat Returns Late Week

By Thursday, we're looking at the low to mid 80s, and then Friday and Saturday temperatures push near 90°. Summer is really trying to kick in.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Thursday, May 28, 2026

☀️ Sun is Back and Beautiful Days Ahead!

The forecast just got a lot easier. Sun has returned and we're looking at a gorgeous stretch ahead. Highs stay around 77° today with somewhat breezy conditions as north winds move through, but dry all the way.

🌤️ Friday and the Weekend: Alert for Beautiful Weather!

Near 80° tomorrow with sunny skies. Then Saturday and Sunday both feature highs in the low 70s with plenty of sunshine. Nights are chilly, with lows falling into the upper 40s to low 50s, but the days are just gorgeous.

☀️ Beautiful Stretch Continues Into Next Week

This nice weather stretches right into the middle of next week. Maybe some showers Tuesday night, but otherwise a dry trend continues. A welcome change after the wet pattern we've been in!

💧 Drought Update

Despite all the recent rain making a real dent in the overall deficit, we are still in a drought and continue to need rain. The wet pattern did help, but there's still a way to go.

Temperatures look to remain a little below normal before trending toward above normal in the longest range.

🌦️ Showers to Start the Day

Some showers are around this morning, with additional chances this afternoon and evening. Patchy fog is possible too. Rainfall will be light unless a thunderstorm develops, which is possible today.

🌩️ Wetter Wednesday

Showers become likely Wednesday, especially in the afternoon, with a thunderstorm possible. Watch for a strong or severe storm as the front finally moves through.

☀️ Beautiful End to the Week

Once the front clears, we dry out Thursday through the weekend and into Monday. Sunny skies return, with highs near 80 Thursday before cooling into the low to mid 70s through the weekend. Overnight lows settle into the 50s. Just a really nice stretch ahead!

🇺🇸 On this Memorial Day, we are thankful for all who served, all who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their families, and the freedoms we have today. Freedom did not come free. We pray we never forget that.

🌦️ Today: Shower Chances Through the Day

A pretty good chance of showers early, then another chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, continuing into tonight.

🌧️ Tuesday: Not Too Bad

Only a 40% chance of showers. Not bad compared to what's been moving through.

⛈️ Wednesday: Showers Likely

Showers are likely as a front pushes through.

🌤️ Thursday Through the Weekend: Beautiful Stretch

We get near 80° Thursday, then temperatures fall into the 70s and stay there right through the weekend. Nights will still be chilly, so not the best pool weather, but it's going to be a beautiful stretch to get outside.

💧 Drought Update

Models are showing a cooler and drier trend ahead. We have picked up three to four inches of rain across the area, which was really needed.

☁️ Today: Mostly Dry

Cloudy skies with maybe a peek of sun here and there. A stray shower can't be ruled out, but it looks like a largely dry day.

🌦️ Monday: Warm, Humid, and Unsettled

Warm and humid, which could fuel some showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Not a washout, but keep an eye on the sky.

🌧️ Midweek: Shower Chances Continue

Unsettled conditions linger into the middle of the week with more showers and storm chances possible.

🌤️ Weekend: Potential Gem, But Watch the Front

A frontal passage could set us up for a really nice weekend with highs in the 70s and clear skies. That's IF the front pushes far enough south. If it stalls, all bets are off. We'll be watching closely.

💧 Drought Update

We've picked up over 3 inches of rain here in the Purcellville area, with other areas seeing varying amounts. Definitely welcome in our ongoing severe drought. It may have addressed roughly a quarter of the deficit, but there's still a long way to go.
