Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Monday, February 3, 2025

Posted on February 3, 2025February 3, 2025 By admin No Comments on Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Monday, February 3, 2025
2/3/2025 – It is going to be a very Mild/Warm day with a high near 60! It'll still be mild and breezy tomorrow. We may see some snow/rain/sleet mix Wednesday into Wednesday night. Things will clear up early Thursday, and temps could rocket into the 60s! The weekend looks unsettled and may include some rain/snow/sleet mix and just some plain rain.
The following week looks to return to a bit colder and there are some wintry weather threats, but this is so far off that there may be nothing or rain. The very long range does look like it will try and turn cold for the second half of the month, but that is too far off to be trusted.

The forecast:
Today: Hi 56°F 🌥️ Lo 44°F ☁️ – Mostly cloudy with calm winds becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon

Tuesday: Hi 55°F 🌤️ Lo 32°F ☁️ – Mostly sunny with northwest wind 8 to 14 mph, gusts up to 23 mph; becoming mostly cloudy at night.

Wednesday: Hi 40°F 🌨️50% Lo 34°F 🌧️80% – Cloudy with a 50% chance of sleet before 1pm, then a chance of rain and sleet; rain at night with an 80% chance of precipitation.

Thursday: Hi 56°F 🌧️70% Lo 36°F ☁️ – Very Mild with rain likely, mainly before 1pm; mostly cloudy at night.

Friday: Hi 48°F 🌤️ Lo 30°F ☁️ – Mostly sunny; mostly cloudy at night.

Saturday: Hi 45°F 🌧️50% Lo 33°F ☁️ – Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of rain (possibly mixed with sleet/snow at onset)

Sunday: Hi 48°F 🌧️50% Lo 30°F ☁️ – Cloudy with a 50% chance of rain

2/2/2025 – The groundhog saw his shadow! MEANS NOTHING! But always kind of fun! It will be pretty cold today with highs in the upper 30s.
We will be much milder tomorrow, with highs near 60!
It will remain mild on Tuesday. A mix of sleet and rain seems possible/likely on Wednesday. This is not a big deal with temperatures above freezing. Thursday looks to warm up with rain and even a chance of thunderstorms! Next weekend may be wet and even have some interesting wintry weather to watch! In general, temps will remain near or slightly above normal. There MAY be some wintry threats after next weekend.. A lot to watch, but a lot of unknowns!

The forecast:
Sunday: Hi 36°F 🌥️ Lo 31°F ☁️ – Cloudy during the day, becoming mostly cloudy at night.

Monday: Hi 56°F 🌥️ Lo 44°F ☁️ – Mostly cloudy throughout the day and night.

Tuesday: Hi 55°F 🌤️ Lo 32°F ☁️ – Mostly sunny during the day, becoming mostly cloudy at night.

Wednesday: Hi 40°F 🌨️50% Lo 34°F 🌧️80% – A chance of sleet in the morning, then a chance of rain and sleet in the afternoon; rain likely at night.

Thursday: Hi 56°F 🌧️70% Lo 36°F 🌧️30% – Rain likely during the day, with a chance of rain at night.

Friday: Hi 48°F 🌤️ Lo 30°F 🌙 – Mostly sunny during the day, becoming mostly cloudy at night.

Saturday: Hi 45°F 🌧️50% Lo 33°F 🌧️50% – A chance of rain during the day and night, but I am watching for some mixing with sleet or snow.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Saturday, February 1, 2025

Posted on February 1, 2025February 1, 2025 By admin No Comments on Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Saturday, February 1, 2025
2/1/2025 – Welcome to February! It's windy and sunny today with highs in the 40s. Colder tomorrow with highs in the upper 30s. Much milder on Monday, with a high near 60. Mid-50s on Tuesday, Cooler on Wednesday. There is some model support for some iciness and sleet. I am not yet sold on it, and the National Weather Service is also holding off on it… but it is very possible. The ground should be warm enough not to be a big driving issue, but we will have to watch and see. Warmer air will try and surge in on Thursday, but I am not so sure about the Cold Air Damming possibility of doing more to trap the colder air. That makes this week a bit challenging.
As of now, temps will be near to above normal for a week or so after the coming week.

The forecast:
Today: Hi 45°F ☀️ Lo 22°F 🌙 – Sunny with gusty north winds, becoming partly cloudy and calmer overnight.

Sunday: Hi 37°F ☁️ Lo 32°F ☁️ – Mostly cloudy and colder with breezy southeast winds.

Monday: Hi 59°F ☁️ Lo 41°F ☁️ – Mostly cloudy and very mild.

Tuesday: Hi 54°F 🌤️ Lo 34°F ☁️ – Partly sunny and mild, becoming mostly cloudy overnight.

Wednesday: Hi 44°F ☁️40% Lo 38°F 🌧️70% – Cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon, rain likely overnight which may be mixed with some ice (tbd – watching).

Thursday: Hi 61°F 🌧️60% Lo 37°F 🌧️ 30% – Rain likely, with some clearing later; a chance of rain at night.

Friday: Hi 47°F 🌤️ Lo 32🌙 – Mostly sunny.
