3/11/2025 – GET OUTSIDE! WOW! 73 here out my door! The pollen will start popping like crazy after all this warmth!!

We will be a bit colder (60s) the next few days.

Rain showers are possible on Saturday and then likely on Sunday.

SEVERE RISK SUNDAY – A slight risk outlook has already been issued by the NOAA NWS Storm Prediction Center for Sunday. Just a heads up as we get ready for the weekend.

It's a bit cooler as we start next week!

Get outside today if you can!

3/10/2025 – Dry week ahead! We will start warm and then turn slightly cooler Wednesday, only to warm back up for the weekend. The weekend looks cloudy with breezy conditions and maybe some good rain Sunday into Monday. We need that rain!

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Sunday, March 9, 2025

3/9/2025 – It will be a beautiful day, though breezy this afternoon. Temperatures will be in the upper 50s. The fire risk will be elevated this afternoon, so please be careful and avoid outdoor burning.

This week looks dry. We will warm up Monday and Tuesday, but I am watching Wednesday as a backdoor cold front will knock temperatures down some.

We will watch next weekend for a potential wind and severe threat. It is a week away, but the storm coming across the country will interrupt plane travel and cause a severe outbreak in the middle south. That severe *MAY* make it here next Sunday.

3/6/2025 – Winday day, but Warm Temperatures next week! There is a wind Advisory this afternoon until midnight with gusts up to 55mph.

We will be less windy tomorrow and a bit warmer! Next week we will see 70s for Tuesday through Thursday!

3/5/2025 – Today there is a severe Risk. Strong winds, hail, and even an isolated tornado are possible. I have a very long discussion on YouTube: https://lowx.us will bring you over to it.

The risk:

15% chance of Severe winds

2% chance of a Tornado

5% chance of Hail

We look like we will have 2 areas of convection. The first will occur later this morning and possibly get intense around 1 p.m. This line may bring gusty winds, so we will need to watch for any severe threats from it. We will have a break, and then, this evening, we may see more storms that could bring hail.

We will get gusty winds tomorrow (I could see a wind advisory getting posted).

The weekend now looks dry but a bit chilly and breezy, but 70s seem likely by mid-week!

Today: Hi 64 ⛈️100% Lo 41 ☁️60% – Showers with thunderstorms possible, some severe. Patchy fog midday. Breezy with gusts up to 43 mph, then becoming partly cloudy overnight.
