Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Wednesday, April 1, 2026

⚡Slight Risk for Severe Storms this evening!

⛈️ Warm Day, Storm Threat This Evening

Warm temperatures today, but an approaching front brings a chance of scattered showers and storms, especially this evening. A few could be strong to severe. We're under a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather, with gusty winds the main concern. I'll be watching radar closely this afternoon.

🌧️ Unsettled Pattern Continues

Showers and storms linger overnight and into tomorrow afternoon and evening. A few showers remain possible Friday and again Saturday afternoon.

🐣 Easter Sunday Looking Wet

Sunday is unfortunately our best shot at rain this weekend. Showers will help cool us down heading into next week, with highs only in the upper 50s to around 60° Monday and Tuesday, with a few showers still possible Tuesday.

💧 Drought Update

We need this rain! The drought continues, and while the coverage will be scattered, every bit counts. We'll see how much actually falls as this pattern plays out.

🌤️ Warm Today, Slight Storm Chance

Highs in the low 80s. A 20% chance of an afternoon or evening shower or storm, but we'll see if that verifies.

🌧️ Better Chances Wednesday

Showers and storms more likely Wednesday afternoon and evening. Highs still in the low 80s. Very spring, if not early summer, feel. Showers continue into Wednesday night.

🌦️ Showers Possible Thursday and Friday

More shower chances linger through the end of the week. Friday's best timing is afternoon and evening, around a 30% chance. Summer-like pattern overall.

🌩️ Weekend Outlook

Saturday warm again in the low 80s, but showers develop in the afternoon. Easter Sunday has a good chance of showers with highs near 75, though timing is still a bit iffy. Could be okay for part of the day before rain moves in.

🌥️ Cooler Easter Monday

Highs drop to around 60 with a few shower chances, but hopefully things clear out for the festivities. Have an excellent day!

🌧️ Rainy Start to the Week

A few showers moved in this morning and should fade through the day with just some scattered showers possible this afternoon and evening.

☀️ Tuesday Is the Driest Day of the Week

Only a 20% chance of an afternoon shower Tuesday. Highs around 80° make it the nicest day of the week.

⛈️ Wednesday Brings the Best Rain Chance

Morning showers give way to a good chance of storms Wednesday afternoon and into the night. This looks like the most active day of the week.

🌦️ Spotty Through the Rest of the Week

Thursday and Friday each carry around a 30 to 40% chance of afternoon and evening showers, nothing washout-worthy. Saturday and Sunday bump up slightly to around 50%.

🌡️ Warm All Week

Highs stay in the mid to upper 70s to low 80s all week, above normal for this time of year.

Hopefully the weekend clears out for a nice Easter! The best overall rain chance beyond Wednesday may be Sunday into Monday.

🌤️ Warmer Day Ahead

Highs near 60°F today with sunny skies, a nice step up from yesterday's chilly, windy conditions.

🌡️ Temperatures Keep Climbing

Tomorrow warms to around 70°F, and by Tuesday, we're pushing into the low 80s.

🌧️ Rain Moves In Midweek

Shower chances arrive Wednesday and stick around right into next weekend. Still in drought conditions, so the rain is welcome, though several straight days of it is never ideal. Hoping it doesn't put a damper on Easter weekend plans. Temperatures stay in the upper 60s to 70s, depending on the day.

🌧️ Wet & Chilly Friday

A soggy day with temperatures falling through the afternoon, dropping to the upper 40s by later today. Gusty north winds will make it feel even colder. Expect showers throughout the day.

🌨️ Chilly Tonight

Showers linger into the evening with the possibility of snow showers or sprinkles late tonight. Lows dropping to around 30°F.

🥼 Chilly Saturday

Highs in the upper 40s with winds making it feel cooler than that.

☀️ Milder Sunday

A nicer day with highs climbing into the mid to upper 50s. Feeling more comfortable heading into the new week.

🌤️ Warmer Monday

Highs near 65°F before rain chances return Monday night.

🌦️ Unsettled Next Week

A 30 to 40% chance of showers each day Monday night through Thursday. Not a washout every day, but rain is possible. Temps warm into the 70s and even low 80s by mid-week, though a frontal boundary nearby could keep things a bit cooler than advertised.
