It is warming up quickly! We will get close to 80 today and in the 80s the next few days! We will see some showers Monday night, and Halloween is looking dry but turning breezy and much cooler! The longer range for next week will include very cool/cold highs for Wednesday and for a while, with the first freezes likely, which will end the growing season. That is just beyond this outlook. Halloween night lows will depend on the winds. If they turn calm, then the lows will be much cooler!

A frosty start (down to 34 in my backyard!) – But this will be a very nice day with little wind and sunny skies. A warmup is in the works, and by Friday and Saturday, we will see 80 or above!

The rain chances for next week look like Monday night into early Halloween day. I am not seeing much in the way of heavy precipitation, which is really not good for the drought, although there are some signs we could see some rain. Halloween looks like it may turn windy and a bit cooler, and then much cooler air will settle in for a few days, with the first freeze seeming possible (a bit late for the season, but not abnormal!)

I preemptively moved the long range in the 6 to 10-day outlook to show below normal temps. The colder/cooler air looks like it will be brief, as another warmer shot may follow.

10/23/2023 – A little late for today, but here is the weekly outlook! A bit of a roller coaster ahead! We will be cold tonight, and some places could drop to freezing, but frost seems possible for quite a few of us. A frost advisory is in effect. We may be near 80 degrees (or higher) by Friday and Saturday. What about Halloween? Some showers are a threat, but the amount of rain is questionable. A front will come through, and another cool-down should follow. My Speculation outlook is not looking as cold as it once was! 🙂 – Long-range outlooks are always a challenge. It may still get cold after Halloween, but not certain how cold.

Another really nice day today! We will see an increase in clouds tomorrow and then a wet Saturday and cool showers on Sunday. We will dry a little early next week and then have another set of showers Tuesday.

The following weekend may bring more rain! We will have to wait and see! Get out for the next two days because it is so very nice!
