12/16/2025 Headline: A warming trend!

🌤️ Chilly but Pleasant Today
We're warming up just a bit with highs in the mid to upper 30s and calm winds.

⛅ Warmer Wednesday
Temperatures climb into the upper 40s with variable clouds.

🌧️ Wind and Rain Thursday Night
The warmest day of the week with highs in the low to mid-50s. Showers are likely late, and we could see gusty rain showers or even a rumble of thunder. It turns colder and very windy as we head into Friday.

💨 Blustery and Cold Friday
Highs in the low 40s with strong winds making it feel even colder.

⛅Not too bad of a Weekend Ahead
Temperatures in the low 40s Saturday but upper 40s Sunday. Temps drop back to the lower 40s on Monday.

📅 Christmas Outlook
Still early, but models hint at some clouds and maybe a rain shower and temps could be quite mild (looks like the 50s!) – This is far enough off it could change.

12/15/2025 Cold start but getting Milder. Christmas may not be so warm!
❄️ Cold Start with a Chilly Afternoon
We kicked off the day in the teens and will only warm to around 30 degrees. Breezes will make it feel colder, but not as harsh as yesterday. Winds will ease a bit later in the day, offering some relief.

🌡️ Slow Climb This Week
Tomorrow brings mid to upper 30s, near 50 by Wednesday, and low 50s Thursday. A front moves through Thursday night with windy showers (maybe a rumble of thunder?).

🌬️ Turning Colder Friday
The rain clears out by Friday, but it turns colder again with strong winds and highs in the low 40s.

🌥️ Weekend Starts Cold
Saturday stays in the low 40s. Sunday brings a bit of a warm-up to near 50 with showers possible by evening. Rain is favored, but a mix can’t be ruled out.

🎄 Christmas does not look so warm!
Early next week starts mild, but colder air returns just in time for Christmas. Details are still coming into focus, but just like the last advertised heat up, the models have started changing their tune. It looks like it may be a normal cold and dry.

❄️ Bitter Cold Sunday with Snow Recap
Late yesterday, models hinted at more snow, and while some spots saw higher totals, most areas landed between a quarter to a half an inch. The far northwestern areas did best, picking up around an inch and a half thanks to elevation. The far northeast also saw nearly an inch, while central and southern spots stayed lighter.

🌬️ Frigid Air Takes Hold
Temperatures will drop throughout the day, hitting the upper teens by 5 p.m. Wind chills near zero tonight as we fall into the mid-teens. Monday stays cold with highs only in the upper 20s.

📈 Gradual Warming This Week
Tuesday warms into the upper 30s. We break 50 by Wednesday and 50s for Thursday. Some late rain moves in Thursday evening but it looks like just plain rain.

🌤️ More Seasonable Next Weekend
Temps settle into the low to mid-40s with more typical December weather. Christmas week is looking milder than normal though not as warm as early hints suggested. Still watching long-range trends but it’s looking okay with maybe a bit of dryness.

🔥 Stay Warm Out There
With many events canceled, today’s a perfect day to stay in, sip something warm, and enjoy the season. Maybe bake those cookies!

12/13/2025 – ❄️Snow amount may be increasing! 🥶Brutally cold tomorrow!

❄️ Snow Incoming After a Nice Start to the Weekend
It’s a nice day across Loudoun with highs in the mid-40s. A perfect setup for the Purcellville Christmas Parade at noon and the Leesburg parade at 6 PM.

🌨️ Rain to Snow Overnight
Between 10 and 11 PM, we’ll see rain and snow showers moving in. By around 1 AM, it should flip to all snow. Totals could be 1 to 2 inches across Loudoun, especially in the eastern areas like Leesburg and Sterling. This is based on recent model trends of increasing moisture! This could easily be less or more, so stay tuned!

🌬️ Arctic Blast Sunday
Sunday highs will only be in the upper 20s and drop throughout the day with gusty 30 to 40 mph winds and wind chills dipping to around zero.

🥶 Frigid Sunday Night
Temps plunge into the teens Sunday night with wind chills possibly below zero.

📆 Warming Up Next Week
Monday stays cold with highs near 30, but we gradually warm through the week—upper 30s Tuesday, near 50 Wednesday, and into the 50s Thursday.

🎄Wild model runs for Christmas
It still looks warmer than normal as we head towards Christmas. Some models are hinting at some mischief around Christmas eve, but all speculation at this point!

12/12/2025 – The big stories! Snow tomorrow night! Blustery Sunday! A warm up is coming!

❄️ Chilly Friday with a Flurry Chance
Temps will make it into the mid to upper 30s today with a flurry possible.

🌡️ Slight Warmup Saturday
Highs bump into the low to mid 40s. A rain and snow mix moves in Saturday night, changing to snow by around 10 p.m. Most spots could see just a dusting to an inch, but areas east toward D.C. could pick up 1 to 3 inches if moisture hangs around.

💨 Bitter Cold and Windy Sunday
Sunday turns sharply colder with highs in the upper 20s dropping into the teens by evening. Gusty winds will make it feel below zero at times. A frigid start to Monday could bring some school delays.

📈 Gradual Warmup Next Week
Monday stays chilly, but we slowly climb back into the mid to upper 30s by Tuesday. Upper 40s by Wednesday, then highs pushing into the upper 50s on Thursday!

🎄 Mild Christmas Weekend Ahead
Looking ahead, temps could soar into the 60s someday heading into Christmas and mild temperatures will likely linger into the extended. After New Year’s, we’ll be watching for pattern changes that could bring winter back.
