Temperatures will rise near 90 this week, accompanied by plenty of humidity, making it feel even hotter.

A classic summertime pattern is setting up—hot, humid, and stormy. Each afternoon brings a good shot at showers and thunderstorms, some of which could produce heavy downpours.

With 2 to 3 inches of rain possible over the next week—and locally higher amounts—keep an eye out for flooding, especially in low-lying areas.
