Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Thursday, April 10, 2025

4/10/2025 – We have a Showery and cool day ahead and more significant rain tomorrow. We will turn drier and have a brief warm-up early next week before we cool back down some. Rain amounts could be between 1 and 2 inches and be long-duration rain, which is really good for us as the drought remains severe.
The long range still looks cooler than normal.

Friday: Hi 52 🌧️100% Lo 43 🌧️100% – Rain

Saturday: Hi 49 🌧️60% Lo 41 ☁️ – Showers likely in the morning then becoming mostly cloudy with a slight chance of evening showers

4/9/2025 – This was a nice day and a bit warmer! Wet conditions are coming in the next few days, and cool conditions will warm early next week. Cooler temps will then follow later next week.

The forecast:
Today: Hi 55 ☀️ Lo 38 🌧️30% – Warmer with increasing clouds, chance of showers after 5am

Thursday: Hi 53 🌧️80% Lo 45 🌧️80% – Showers likely and breezy, rain continuing through the night

Friday: Hi 53 🌧️90% Lo 41 🌧️80% – Rain throughout the day and night with steady northeast winds

Saturday: Hi 49 🌧️60% Lo 41 🌧️30% – Rain likely tapering off by evening, cloudy and cool

Sunday: Hi 58 ☁️ Lo 41 🌙 – Mostly cloudy early, becoming partly cloudy and cool

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Tuesday, April 8, 2025

4/8/2024 – What a chilly day – with snow flurries at times for some! Crazy cold feeling and a Hard Freeze Warning! If you have fruit trees, this could be an issue. Lows will be in the mid and upper 20s tonight. Most fruit trees start having issues at or below 28 degrees.
Tomorrow, we get warmer with lighter winds and highs in the low and mid-50s.
Rain showers could start late tomorrow night, and we could get some good rain as we head into Friday and maybe into early Saturday. The longer duration of rain is very good news for us and the region. Let's hope that the forecast holds, as based on the models, we could see 1 to as much as 3 inches of rain.
We should dry Saturday late and Sunday before turning a bit warmer early next week.
In general, the forecast looks to have near-normal or slightly cooler temperatures. We look to dry up some next week, but there are signs we could see more rain in the extended.

Saturday: Hi 51 🌧️60% Lo 41 🌧️30% – Showers likely early then mostly cloudy with a slight chance of evening rain

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Monday, April 7, 2025

4/7/2025 – How about an evening update! It was a cool and kind of damp day, but we really did not get the rain we needed last night! There was much more just to the east of us!
And now, a setback to colder weather for a bit, but especially the next 2 days. Tonight we get down below freezing. Tomorrow it will feel like the 30s all day long, and we will see a hard freeze tomorrow night! If you have fruit trees, it is time to figure out how to protect them, especially in Western Loudoun. We will remain cooler than normal overall for the next week, but will have a few days warmer.
This Friday through Saturday is a bit uncertain. We have a chance of a good low forming and causing some good rain. Exactly how it sets up has been a struggle for the models. We really need the rain! The forecast has backed off on rain, but my confidence is a bit low for Saturday. We will warm up some early next week before some cooler air comes in, but probably not as cold as tonight and tomorrow night.

Tuesday: Hi 45 ☀️ Lo 26 🌙 – Sunny and brisk with strong northwest winds, calming after sunset with mostly clear skies

Thursday: Hi 57 🌦️60% Lo 45 🌧️ 60% – Mostly cloudy with showers likely in the afternoon and continuing into the early night

Friday: Hi 59 🌧️80% Lo 42 🌧️80% – Widespread showers expected throughout the day, tapering off after dark
