Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Wednesday, January 15, 2025

1/15/2025 – 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🧊🌬️ – Windchills this morning was near zero! So – YA – COLD! We “warm” to near 30 this afternoon.
We could see some light snow showers tomorrow afternoon with highs close to freezing.
Milder Friday and Saturday. We could see some showers on Saturday.
Models are struggling with how to deal with a follow up wave of moisture on Sunday. This could mean some snow in the afternoon/evening. It may be a few inches.
Brutally cold next week. I do think we could be below zero, actual temperatures, next Wednesday morning if the weather models are correct.
I am watching the potential for a wintry system mid next week, but I would say that Tuesday through Thursday could bring a chance of a winter storm, but the cold may push it south!

Today: Hi 29 🌤️ Lo 14 🌙 – Mostly sunny and blustery, becoming mostly clear with lighter winds overnight.

Thursday: Hi 33 🌨️40% Lo 24 🌙 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon snow showers, clearing overnight with lighter winds.

Friday: Hi 40 ☀️ Lo 27 🌙 – Sunny skies with light winds, becoming partly cloudy overnight.

Saturday: Hi 42 🌦️70% Lo 30 🌙 – Rain likely in the afternoon, with mostly cloudy skies overnight.

Sunday: Hi 38 🌨️40% Lo 15 🌙 – A chance of morning rain and snow, transitioning to snow in the afternoon, becoming partly cloudy at night.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Monday, January 13, 2025

1/13/2025 – Warmer day ahead. We will cool down through the middle of the week. We warm enough for some rain Saturday.
I still think next week will be very cold and we do have some snow chances. The first will be around Monday. Then we will have to watch how next week plays out. Sometimes, when it gets this cold, storms are hard to come by. We will see.

Today: Hi 45 🌤️ Lo 18 🌙 – Partly sunny with light winds becoming west, then mostly clear with gusty northwest winds.

Tuesday: Hi 29 🌤️ Lo 16 🌙☁️ – Mostly sunny with strong west winds, becoming partly cloudy and blustery overnight with gusty northwest winds.

Wednesday: Hi 28 ☀️ Lo 12 🌙 – Sunny with strong northwest winds, then mostly clear overnight.

Thursday: Hi 35 🌤️ Lo 25 ☁️ – Mostly sunny during the day, becoming mostly cloudy overnight.

Friday: Hi 41 ☀️ Lo 30 🌧️50% – Sunny during the day, with a chance of rain developing overnight under mostly cloudy skies.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Sunday, January 12, 2025

1/12/2025 – Pretty good warm-up out there! We see another “warm” day tomorrow with colder weather for a few days. We now see some rain possible next weekend, but we do not get comfortable with that as a super cold blast seems likely next week, and there may be a good chance of storminess! This has some potential. I am not sure what the outcome would be, but I do think it will get super cold!

Tonight: Lo 19 🌥️ – Increasing clouds with light south wind.

Monday: Hi 42 ☀️ Lo 18 🌙 – Sunny with calm winds becoming west, then mostly clear with gusty northwest winds.

Tuesday: Hi 28 ☀️ Lo 14 🌥️ – Sunny and breezy with strong west winds, becoming partly cloudy overnight with gusty northwest winds.

Wednesday: Hi 27 ☀️ Lo 11 🌙 – Sunny and mostly clear.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Friday, January 10, 2025

1/10/2025 – Little Snow tonight. Bit milder, then COLD again! Another cold start to the day with low wind chills. It will not be as windy today.
Snow tonight will be light and MAY bring as much as an inch to and inch and a half or just a dusting. So we can call it a coating to two inches if we happen to get some dynamics to assist.
A bit Milder Sunday and Monday! We could see 40 degrees or higher Monday!
Colder air then returns!
Again, the next potential system would be a week or so a way.
The forecast:
Today: Hi 31 🌤️ Lo 23 ❄️80% – Partly sunny with calm winds in the afternoon. Snow tonight, mainly before 4am, with around an inch of accumulation possible.

Saturday: Hi 34 🌤️❄️30% Lo 21 🌙 – A chance of snow early, then mostly cloudy, gradually becoming sunny with breezy conditions.

Sunday: Hi 36 ☀️ Lo 15 🌙 – Milder and sunny

Monday: Hi 40 🌤️ Lo 18 🌙 – Milder with mostly sunny skies

Tuesday: Hi 26 🌤️ Lo 13 🌙 – Breezy and colder

1/9/2025 – Cold and Blustery out there! Highs in the 20s and winds which will make it feel like the teens all day. Winds could gust to 40 mph.
Cold tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow night we will get light snow that could drop as much as 1 inch of snow.
Not as cold Sunday and Monday. We could see 40 degrees on Monday! Colder air returns Tuesday and sunny and dry conditions remain.
The next window of storminess possibilities is around the 20th. We may warm enough to see rain or a mix. Too far off to be specific.

Today: Hi 28 🌬️ Lo 14 🌙 – Sunny and blustery with strong northwest winds.

Friday: Hi 31 ☁️ Lo 22 🌨️70% – Increasing clouds during the day. Light snow is likely at night.
