Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Saturday, November 16, 2024

11/16/2024 – Today is a chilly and windy day. We could see winds gusting into the low 30s! The winds will die down tonight. We have a very nice Sunday shaping up with highs in the upper 50s and calmer conditions. We warm for Monday through Wednesday and then await the well-forecasted strong front and windy weekend on the way next week.

As of now, things will settle down late next Sunday after cold and windy conditions and start to be more seasonable for Thanksgiving week, though we may have some rain to contend with around Turkey Day. I do outline details in my latest YT video if interested –> https://youtu.be/Q08XTQJImws

BTW – I would not be surprised to see some mixed rain/snow showers on Friday or Saturday next weekend.

A few items before Thursday:
1. Secure outdoor items that could be blown around by the wind
2. You should go ahead and winterize the hose bibs as we could have some very chilly nights – though I do not think they will be that cold as the wind will keep temps higher at night
3. Take some time to seal any gaps around windows and other similar areas
4. You may want to test the generators as the winds could impact power!

Today: Hi 57 ☁️ Lo 37 🌙 – Cloudy through mid-morning, then gradual clearing. Breezy with gusts up to 31 mph.

Sunday: Hi 56 🌤️ Lo 42 🌙 – Mostly sunny

Monday: Hi 66 ☀️ Lo 44 🌙 – Sunny and clear skies

Tuesday: Hi 62 🌤️ Lo 48 🌙 – Partly sunny skies

Wednesday: Hi 68 🌤️30% 🌧️ Lo 42 🌧️70% – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon showers, becoming likely overnight.

Thursday: Hi 51 🌦️40% Lo 39 🌧️ 50% – Partly sunny with a chance of showers. turning windy!

Friday: Hi 50 🌦️30% Lo 37🌙 – A chance of showers and windy.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Friday, November 15, 2024

11/15/2024 – We should clear up this morning after some showers early. We did not get as much rain as forecast! Highs will be in the mid-50s. Tonight, it will be in the 40s. It will be breezy, and temperatures will be near 60 tomorrow. Near 60 Sunday and then in the 60s through mid-week. Next weekend looks very windy and cold.

The forecast:
Today: Hi 57 🌦️20% Lo 46 🌙 – A slight chance of rain before 10am; mostly cloudy with northwest winds at 5 to 13 mph.

Saturday: Hi 59 ☀️ Lo 37 🌙 – Sunny and breezy with northwest winds at 16 to 21 mph, gusting up to 26 mph.

Sunday: Hi 60 🌤️ Lo 43 ☁️ – Mostly sunny with calm northwest winds in the afternoon; becoming mostly cloudy at night.

Monday: Hi 66 🌤️ Lo 41 🌙 – Mostly sunny during the day; partly cloudy at night.

Tuesday: Hi 61 🌥️ Lo 46 ☁️ – Partly sunny with a high near 61; mostly cloudy at night.

Wednesday: Hi 63 🌥️ Lo 44 🌧️40% – Partly sunny during the day; a 40% chance of showers at night with mostly cloudy skies.

Thursday: Hi 54 🌦️30% Lo 38 🌧️30% – A 30% chance of showers during the day and night, with partly sunny skies turning mostly cloudy.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Thursday, November 14, 2024

11/14/2024 – RAIN IS ON THE WAY! And we need it! This is looking like a moderate event with maybe a half-inch of rain or more. It will be a cool day—a Chili or soup and good book-by-the-fire kind of day! 🙂 Highs will be in the upper 40s. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED if a sleet pellet or 2 is not reported in some colder spots at the start, but that may be just me being a bit wishful.
We will be back in the mid-50s tomorrow and near 60 on Saturday. Saturday will be quite breezy. Temps will be in the 60s until midweek before the pattern-changing front comes through and knocks us into a below-normal week for Thanksgiving time!

Thanksgiving week may bring some interesting weather possibilities due to the type of pattern we are in…. That is all I would say… but it will be something to watch! I discuss it in a longer video here –>https://youtu.be/bT6sG5T4Okk

The cool pattern should last until the end of the month, but I see us returning to normal and then above as we enter December!

Tuesday: Hi 62 🌤️ Lo 47 🌧️30% – Mostly sunny, with increasing clouds at night and a chance of showers late

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Wednesday, November 13, 2024

11/13/2024 – Cold start this morning! We will warm to around 50 degrees today. Around freezing tonight. Cool tomorrow with highs in the upper 40s and some rain in the afternoon and the first part of tomorrow night. Highs still in the 50s on Saturday but warming to the 60s all weekend and into the middle part of next week. A colder pattern may set up for next weekend around the 22nd.

The extended looks like we may be only slightly above normal to normal temperatures and near normal rain chances.

The forecast:
Today: Hi 50 ☀️ Lo 34 ☁️ – Sunny with light winds, becoming increasingly cloudy overnight.

Thursday: Hi 49 🌧️80% Lo 43 🌧️80% – Showers starting in the afternoon and continuing through the evening with steady rainfall and light winds.

Friday: Hi 54 ⛅ Lo 43 🌙 – Partly sunny with breezy conditions during the day, then mostly clear at night.

Saturday: Hi 59 ☀️ Lo 38 🌙 – Sunny and clear throughout the day and night.

Sunday: Hi 62 🌤️ Lo 43 ☁️ – Mostly sunny, becoming mostly cloudy overnight.

Monday: Hi 64 🌤️ Lo 42 🌙 – Partly sunny with partly cloudy skies overnight.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Tuesday, November 12, 2024

11/12/2024 – Cooler conditions for the next few days before milder air returns for the weekend. After much cooler highs in the mid-50s today, we will get nice and cold tonight with temps around 30. Low 50s tomorrow and now, with some showers around, temps Thursday look to be in the upper 40s. We rebound quickly and temps head back to the lower 60s this weekend.

The extended outlook still looks milder than normal and below normal chances of rain. The big pattern change does look like it will happen, but the net effect may be cooler conditions, but not below normal and continuing drier than normal!
