🌨️ Rain and Snow Mix Today
It’s a wild one out there. Heavier rain showers are mixing with snow, especially in Northern Loudoun. No accumulation expected since it’s too warm, but expect a messy afternoon with highs in the 40s.

🌤️ Beautiful Weekend Ahead
We clear out tomorrow with highs in the lower 50s. Saturday looks amazing as we climb into the lower 60s. We’ll cool back down into the upper 40s on Sunday before a much colder Monday arrives.

❄️ Monday Snow Chances
Monday looks cold with highs only in the 30s. Models are struggling with the next system; it’s looking weaker, so we’re down to just a chance of rain or snow. Tuesday stays chilly in the 30s before the big shift.

🌡️ Spring is Calling
We hit the 50s Wednesday, and next week could easily see temperatures surging into the 70s. This warm spell likely marks the end of winter weather for the season. Time to get those spring cleaning plans ready!

☀️ Chilly Tuesday
Another chilly day is on tap, with highs struggling to reach 40.

🌙 Overnight Flurries
We could see a slight snow shower move through overnight.

🌡️ Milder Wednesday
Expect highs to reach the low 50s under decent conditions.

🌧️ Chilly Rain Thursday
Thursday turns chilly again with highs only in the low 40s. We could see a little snow mixed in with rain, but it should stay mostly rain. There is a chance it briefly changes to freezing rain Thursday night.

🌤️ Friday and The Weekend
Remaining in the 40s on Friday. The weekend looks much better with highs in the 50s on Saturday and upper 40s on Sunday.

❄️ Monday Disturbance
We are watching a disturbance for Monday. There may be just enough cold air around to bring some snow or a rain-and-snow mix during the day that could turn to some snow in the evening.

📈 Long Range Outlook
It looks like winter could be leaving North America after next week. The chances of another major cold spell seem much less likely after the end of next week.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Monday, February 23, 2026

☀️ Morning Flurries Today
We are seeing some flurries this morning, but the rest of the day looks nice. It will be cold and breezy with highs in the mid and upper 30s. The sun will do a job melting a lot of the snow out there.

🌙 Frigid Night Ahead
It will be a cold one tonight. Expect clear skies with lows dropping down around 20.

🌤️ Mostly Sunny Tuesday
Tuesday will be mostly sunny. It remains chilly with highs in the upper 30s.

❄️ Light Snow Tomorrow Night
We could see some light snow move in tomorrow night. Temperatures will warm up late, likely switching the activity over to rain.

🌡️ Milder Wednesday
Wednesday brings a nice break from the cold. Expect milder conditions with highs reaching the low to mid 50s.

🌧️ Much Needed Rain
Beneficial rain returns for Thursday and Thursday night. We are looking at highs in the 40s for both Thursday and Friday.

🌤️ Nice Weekend Ahead
The weekend is looking great! Expect plenty of sunshine with highs climbing back into the 50s.

📈 Long Range Outlook
The long range shows a trend toward above normal temperatures. We also see a continued chance of above normal precipitation which is definitely needed to help with the current drought.

2/19/2026 Rain. Snow Sunday.. But how much?
🌧️ Rain Arrives Late Today
Expect rain to move in late today and continue through the night. We could see between half an inch and three-quarters of an inch of accumulation by midday Friday. The rain should taper off by Friday evening, leading into a much nicer Saturday with highs in the low 50s.

❄️ Turning Colder Sunday
Sunday remains the big question mark. The day will likely start with cold rain before transitioning to a rain and snow mix, eventually becoming all snow by the evening and possibly lingering overnight.

📉 Chilly Start Next Week
Colder air sticks around for the start of the work week with highs only in the 30s on Monday and Tuesday. We’ll see a slow climb back toward the upper 40s by Wednesday, with a trend toward much milder conditions in the long-range forecast.

I’ll be watching that Sunday for any potential accumulation, so expect mid-day updates!

☁️ Cloudy and Mild Today
It is a cloudy day, but it will be mild with highs reaching the upper 50s. We could have a brief shower this afternoon.

🌧️ Rain Chances Increase Tomorrow
Tomorrow, there is a better chance of rain, especially in the afternoon. Highs will drop to the upper 40s, and rain will continue into the evening and overnight. On Friday, expect rain mainly in the morning, with highs near 55.

❄️ Watching the Weekend❄️❓
Saturday looks clear with highs in the low to mid 50s. From Saturday night through Sunday night, we need to watch closely. There could be a mix of rain and snow on Sunday, possibly turning to all snow. It’s uncertain and could even be just a glancing blow of a few showers.

Next week will start off much colder with highs in the mid to upper 30s and nighttime lows in the low 20s. Monday will also be breezy.
