Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Thursday, March 6, 2025

3/6/2025 – Winday day, but Warm Temperatures next week! There is a wind Advisory this afternoon until midnight with gusts up to 55mph.
We will be less windy tomorrow and a bit warmer! Next week we will see 70s for Tuesday through Thursday!

The forecast:
Today: Hi 45 🌥️ Lo 31 🌙 – Increasing clouds and very windy with gusts up to 50 mph, becoming mostly clear and breezy overnight

Friday: Hi 55 🌤️ Lo 38 🌧️ 30% – Mostly sunny with lighter winds, becoming cloudy with a chance of rain late

Saturday: Hi 48 ⛅ Lo 27 🌙 – Partly sunny and breezy, becoming partly cloudy overnight

Sunday: Hi 53 ⛅ Lo 33 🌙 – Partly sunny, becoming mostly clear overnight

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Wednesday, March 5, 2025

3/5/2025 – Today there is a severe Risk. Strong winds, hail, and even an isolated tornado are possible. I have a very long discussion on YouTube: https://lowx.us will bring you over to it.

The risk:
15% chance of Severe winds
2% chance of a Tornado
5% chance of Hail

We look like we will have 2 areas of convection. The first will occur later this morning and possibly get intense around 1 p.m. This line may bring gusty winds, so we will need to watch for any severe threats from it. We will have a break, and then, this evening, we may see more storms that could bring hail.

We will get gusty winds tomorrow (I could see a wind advisory getting posted).

The weekend now looks dry but a bit chilly and breezy, but 70s seem likely by mid-week!

Today: Hi 64 ⛈️100% Lo 41 ☁️60% – Showers with thunderstorms possible, some severe. Patchy fog midday. Breezy with gusts up to 43 mph, then becoming partly cloudy overnight.

Thursday: Hi 51 ☁️ Lo 30 🌙 – Increasing clouds and becoming breezy with gusts up to 45 mph, then clearing overnight.

Friday: Hi 56 🌤️ Lo 38 ☁️20% – Mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers overnight.

Saturday: Hi 49 🌤️ Lo 31 🌙 – Mostly sunny and partly cloudy overnight.

Sunday: Hi 51 🌤️ Lo 31 🌙 – Mostly sunny and mostly clear overnight.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Monday, March 3, 2025

3/3/3025 – Another colder-than-normal day, but not windy! The highs are in the mid-40s. It will be nicer tomorrow with 50s but breezy. Windy and potentially stormy and rainy on Wednesday. I am watching for the potential of severe storms that could carry a wind threat. Our risk for severe will be later in the afternoon with the front, which may be able to bring the winds to the surface. This is not a great chance for Severe weather, but there is a slight chance.
We cool and stay windy for a few days. I am watching Sunday to see if there is a chance for wintry weather, but it seems unlikely at this point! (The GFS/American model does give it a chance – so I am watching)

Tuesday: Hi 57 🌤️ Lo 47 🌧️70% – Partly sunny and breezy, with showers likely late at night

Wednesday: Hi 63 ⛈️100% Lo 43 ⛈️60% – Showers and thunderstorms, breezy with strong gusts, tapering off overnight

Thursday: Hi 49 🌤️ Lo 32 🌙 – Partly sunny and breezy, becoming mostly clear overnight

Friday: Hi 54 ☀️ Lo 38 🌙 – Sunny, with partly cloudy skies overnight

Saturday: Hi 56 🌤️🌧️30% Lo 32 🌧️30% – Partly sunny with a chance of rain during the day and night

3/2/2025 – Breezy and cold day with highs in the 30s. The 40s will be here tomorrow, and then it will be milder on Wednesday. Rain with the potential for strong storms will come Wednesday as temps jump into the 60s to near 70. Windy and chillier weather comes for the weekend. Then some showers possible Saturday.
I think any wintry precipitation threats are over!
The long range looks milder, but, unfortunately the rain chances are low!

Cooler next weekend with a possible mixing event, but Spring weather is likely right after that with much milder temps after the 10th of March!
