Highs near 80 with some high clouds from Tropical Storm Imelda.

🌧️ Slight Chance of Showers Tonight
A very slight chance of showers tonight into early Tuesday.

☀️ Pleasant Through Midweek
Dry with highs in the upper 70s today and tomorrow. A cooler Wednesday is expected with highs in the low 70s. Thursday will have highs in the upper 60s to around 70. Lows will be in the mid and upper 40s

🌞 Beautiful Weekend Ahead
Dry and in the 70s both Saturday and Sunday. Great weather for the Waterford Fair.

🔥 Dry Pattern Continues
Very dry stretch likely with little to no rain expected over the next 15 days. This is bad news for newly planted lawns, the drought, and even the fall leaf color changes, as the trees will shed the leaves fast due to stress.

High pressure remains firmly in control with dry conditions expected through the entire week

🌡️ Mild Start to the Week
Today through Tuesday will feature highs in the upper 70s to low 80s

🍂 Fall Preview Midweek
By Wednesday, highs cool into the low 70s
Thursday and Friday bring highs only in the mid to upper 60s with nighttime lows dipping into the low to mid 40s

🌤️ Warming Slightly Next Weekend
Temperatures rebound slightly next weekend but dry weather continues
Long-range outlooks also keep us rain-free

Showers should wind down this evening, setting us up for a drier night.

Tomorrow is looking dry with highs again in the mid to upper 70s.

🌀 Tropics to Watch & Rain Chances Next Week
Rain chances linger into next week, but a push of drier air from the north could hold the bulk of it south of our area. Watching the potential development of Tropical Storm or Hurricane Imelda, it may stay just offshore

🍂 Cool Down Late Week
Daytime highs will only reach the mid 60s, and overnight lows drop into the 40s, especially Thursday night.

A strong northern high drops temps into the mid-60s by Thursday with breezy conditions possible.

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Thursday, September 25, 2025

9/25/2025 – Sorry for the lack of updates today! That was quite the line of gusty showers and a few thunderbolts. I see that there are some trees down, and Waterford had its power knocked out due to it!

The latest drought monitor was released, and the drought was lowered for Western Loudoun. The furthest north tip of the county is out of the drought.

YES, I am watching the tropics and I am concerned about our friends in the southeastern US! The impacts here are not certain as models are trying to figure things out, but for anyone with beach plans or if you have relatives in the southeast, I am certain they are hearing of the concerns from the weather folks that way!

The weekend is a bit iffy now, and I have some concerns for impacts to the Leesburg Airshow – I hope we do not see low clouds or showers. Timing for the rain that may fall is coming into focus.

Friday: Hi 79 🌤️ Lo 61 ☁️ – Patchy morning fog, then mostly sunny
