4/12/2022 – Loudoun Weather Outlook

Much nicer today with any showers and clouds clearing out. Highs in the Mid and upper 70s! Highs tomorrow may reach 80 with a chance of showers and storms. Thursday also has a good chance of showers and storms and some could be strong to severe. Nice weekend coming, though we cool some for Easter Sunday. Rain chances return Monday and a cool week looks to be ahead. We may see another chance of freezing temps next week!

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Wednesday, February 23, 2022

Very Mild today! Some COULD see 70, but I think we will just see the mid and upper 60s. We turn colder tonight and tomorrow. We will see snow, sleet, freezing rain showers tomorrow, and then more widespread freezing rain tomorrow night. I will note that the trends have been colder and a longer period of time of freezing temps. but the precipitation amounts are not super high. That being said, sometimes lighter precipitation makes things freeze better. I think with colder temps now forecast tomorrow night, MAYBE Friday morning could be impacted (schools?) – This could have a little more impact in that respect, but, overall, I think this is a minor event and mainly an issue for trees, overpasses, and cartops.. not the roads. The issues will be minor! We warm Friday before a pretty cold stretch from Saturday until the second half of next week.. We will see warming start to really take hold next weekend from what I can see!

For the Daily, it looks like we will warm some this week with some rain chances Thursday and then maybe an icy mess Friday? Details are being worked out and we will not have confidence until late Wednesday.
It will get colder over the weekend. #loudoun #loudouncountyva #vawx #loudounweather #loudounva #virginiaweather

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Friday, January 21, 2022

Weekly Outlook. Cold is pretty much the rule! I will watch Tuesday for a rain/snow mix and then we will look to next weekend as the next chance of any storms.
Long-range it looks like we stay cold, but may start to see a little more normal temps!

1/2/2022 Loudoun Weather Outlook – Snow is on the way

WINTER STORM WATCH POSTED

We will have a very mild day, but a front will come through later and start dropping temps. Later tonight some rain/snow mix will transition to snow. Accumulations will be mainly on grassy and shaded areas. I am thinking 1 to 5 inches with the least in the north and west (see attached – FIRST GUESS!). We will be cold to seasonably cold until Thursday Night when another winter system may come and bring accumulating snow. It will be very cold Friday and Saturday. The long-range now looks cold, and maybe another chance of storminess before drier conditions!

I WILL UPDATE throughout the day as new models come in!
