🌨️ Big Winter Storm Incoming This Weekend
We’ve got a potent winter system setting up for the weekend with cold air and accumulating snow. Confidence is increasing that most of the area will see snow, but exact totals are still uncertain.
🌡️ Today & Tomorrow – Chilly but Quiet
Highs in the 20s today and tomorrow with lows in the low teens.
🌤️ Thursday Warmup Before the Front
Temperatures rebound toward 50 degrees.
❄️ Friday Into Monday – Snow and Cold
We may have a few snow showers Friday. The core of the snow looks Saturday night into Sunday with the best chance for accumulating snow. We still need finer model timing to nail down amounts.
🌬️ Temperatures Plunge
Very cold air arrives Friday night and sticks around through Monday. Next week looks to stay quite cold as well.
⚠️ Regional Impacts
In parts of Virginia, snow looks most likely. Further south (North Carolina and South Carolina), there’s a threat of ice with sleet and freezing rain.
