Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Wednesday, April 2, 2025

4/2/2025 – Sorry I have been slow to update today! Tomorrow we will need to watch for an isolated storm or two that could be severe. It is hard to predict exact details, but the atmosphere is well primed for rotating systems that could cause wind and isolated tornadoes. The question is whether that gets close to us or not! I will be more vigilant tomorrow on what is happening. We have a lot of rain chances over the next several days, but not a lot of rain overall.

We will cool down next week!

Loudoun County Weather Outlook for Tuesday, April 1, 2025

4/1/2025 – YA – That was an April Fool's joke earlier! Thanks for the positive feedback on the page. I do want to get the daily updates out sooner, but I have not been as early a riser as I want to be! 🙂 It is cooler and breezy today. We did get some good rain late yesterday. We have a long way to go to break the drought. More rain is possible starting Thursday and continuing through the weekend, accompanied by relatively warm temperatures. Thursday may also bring a chance of some severe storms. We will be much cooler next week. Although models initially hinted at some snow flurries mixed in with the rain on Monday, they were removed in the next model run, as expected. We will have about 10 days of cooler air before I see a warm-up again.

The forecast:
Today: Hi 60 ☀️ Lo 35 ☁️ – Sunny with a cool breeze and increasing clouds later with light winds

Wednesday: Hi 60 ☁️ Lo 51 ☁️ – Mostly cloudy and breezy throughout the day and night

Thursday: Hi 79 ⛈️40% Lo 62 🌧️60% – Cloudy with a chance of showers and possible thunderstorms, showers and storms likely late

Friday: Hi 69 🌧️70% Lo 55 🌧️50% – Mostly cloudy with likely showers tapering off by night

Saturday: Hi 72 🌧️50% Lo 60 🌧️40% – A mostly cloudy day with scattered showers continuing into the night
